Esther Bender of Cumberland, Maryland, is a writer and former teacher. She is a graduate of Frostburg State University and has taken the graduate bookwriting course from The Institute of Children's Literature.
Ms. Bender has published three picture books and three chapter books for children and one book for adults, all by Herald Press. The book for adults, her most recent, is about having Parkinsons' Disease which she has had for twenty-two years. Her books are
