Pat was born and raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, where she attended St. Dominic’s Elementary School and Seton High School. She earned a B.A. degree from Towson University and an M.A. degree from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Bel Air, MD with her husband Jim and their white shorthair cat, “Cranston, ” also known as “The Cranster.”

As a teen, Pat worked in sales at Buchler's Bakery, which was owned by her dad. Later she managed a credit department for a year at a large store in Toledo, Ohio She began teaching second grade in parochial schools at the age of 17, taking night and summer courses while teaching to earn her degrees. Throughout her professional career, she taught all levels from Kindergarten to grade 8. After teaching gifted and talented students for many years, she retired from the Harford County Public Schools to pursue her writing career. Her hobbies include walking, playing the piano, reading and, of course, writing!

Pat is a lifelong writer of poems for all ages and children's stories. Her book of poems, Under a Rainbow and a collection of her stories, Apples For Halloween are available from her. She is very excited about the Maryland Counties Series of books she is co-authoring with friend, Elaine Bunting. The 3 titles, published to date by Tidewater Publishers in Centreville, MD include Counties of Central Maryland, Counties of Northern Maryland, and Counties of Southern Maryland
