Ann Jensen |
Ann Jensen lives in Annapolis, Maryland, in the three-hundred-year-old Sands house, which has been her family's home since 1771. As she grew up, she was told stories of families and life in Annapolis of years past. Her love of history, especially that of Annapolis, Maryland, and the Chesapeake Bay, had begun. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland and has written books on the history of Maryland and the Bay and articles in many magazines.
Ms. Jensen is a member of the Annapolis History Consortium and the Maryland Writers Association. She has received the Historic Annapolis Foundation Community Award, Maryland Society of Professional Journalists Award, and the 2001 Literary Annie Award, which is given to someone who has made a lasting, significant, and inspiring contribution to an art form.
